These wooden foundationless frames have a generously waxed started strip attached to the top bar. Choose between either 6 1/4" medium frames for honey supers or 9 1/8" deep frame for brood boxes. Foundationless beekeeping is a growing trend that not only saves plastic but makes for good comb honey or easier extracting. 

Beekeepers often alternate between plastic and foundationless frames to help guide the bees comb building. 

The frames are constructed using 1.5" staples and wood glue. The starter strip is secured with staples.
