Oxalic is a useful tool for the beekeeper. It is excellent for bleaching darkened hive wood, and it is an excellent hive box sanitizer.   This oxalic acid is extra pure (99.8%) so leaves less risk of leaving heavy metal residues in your hive wood.

Warning: Some beekeepers use oxalic acid as a varroa mite management tool.  Although this oxalic acid is very pure, it does not meet the packaging and other regulatory requirements for mite treatment in a beehive.  It is being offered only as a wood bleaching and hive box sanitizing product.  Oxalic acid must be used according to the required safety regulations.
