J-Hook: This hive tool is one of our favorites. It is particularly good for pulling frames for insepction.  The J hook really helps remove the frames with minimal damage to the hive and the bees. Sometimes, frames are difficult to lift out because of propolis and burr comb. The J-Hook and notch on the end of the tool acts as a lever to lift the frames up makes hive inspections easier.

The flat end of the tool has a beveled sharp edge that is good for scraping unwanted wax and propolis build-up within your hive. 

Standard: This is a strong general purpose hive tool made of steel. Use it for scraping inside the hive and pulling frames. It also includes a nail puller

Multi-function: This stainless steel, multi-funcion hive tool helps with all jobs in the bee yard. It includes a frame lifter, multiple scrapers, bee box opener, frame cleaner, nail puller and even a hammer head.

One end of the tool has a flat, beveled edge that can be used to pry apart bee boxes. This end also has a nail puller and a slotted side  for frame cleaning.

The opposite end has a couple of different types of hooks:

• One standard hive tool hook
• A serrated J-hook that can be used to pry frames apart and to lift frames from boxes.
