The fuel for your beekeeping smoker is made of herbs and will not provide any toxic harm to your bees. Each pellet burns for approximately 15 to 20 minutes providing you the desired time to inspect your beehive.

The smoke undertakes two purposes. The first when undertaken when puffed through the front entrance encourages the bees to gouge on honey and thus become lethargic and tired. As a result, the bees are less prone to sting.

The second purpose of using smoke from the pellets is to act as a clearing method to move bees away from areas you wish to place your fingers or clear areas to view underneath the bees.
