We spent the last year evaluating this stand in our apiary and we love it.  Here is why:

1. The galvanized steel legs are seriously heavy duty, and height-adjustable for uneven ground.  At close to the same price as a single-hive stand, this stand can accommodate up to three hives. This is not only great value, it is extremely convenient when working your hives.

2. The stand cross members work as an excellent anchor to strap all three hive down with one strap, as long as the tallest one is in the middle, which is easy to do with a spare hive box.

3. The feet are small enough to allow you to make a moat out of containers such as old cans filled with cooking oil to keep ants from crawling up the hive (Some beekeepers use containers of boric acid.)  

(The 2X4 pressure treat cross beams do not come with the product, but are  generally available at a lumber store.)
